Privacy Policy

In plain English: we collect the minimum needed to run Qwestrum — accounts, journeys, Compass and Navigator inputs, and basic usage — never sell your data, and you control what you share publicly.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate Qwestrum.

  • a. Information you provide
    • Email address (for login)
    • Profile information (if added)
    • Journeys, milestones, and content you choose to share
    • Career Compass and Navigator inputs (e.g. degree, goal role, salary target) to show guidance results
    • Bookmarks, timeline entries, and saved preferences
  • b. Basic usage information
    • Log-in activity and basic device or browser information
    • Anonymous page views on public journeys (not tied to advertising)

We do not collect unnecessary personal data.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide access to your account and saved library
  • Display journeys, Compass results, and Navigator routes
  • Improve reliability, guidance accuracy labels, and usability
  • Respond to support, feedback, or reports

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

Content Visibility

  • Published journeys may be readable by others on Explore and timeline links.
  • Compass wizard answers and private timeline drafts stay tied to your account.
  • You control what you choose to share publicly.
  • There are no public follower counts, likes, or popularity rankings.

See also our Community Guidelines for how shared content should be written.

Data Protection

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including:

  • Secure access controls
  • Limited internal access
  • Basic security best practices

No system is perfectly secure, but we take care responsibly.

We only share information when:

  • Required by law
  • Necessary to operate the platform responsibly

We do not sell your data.
